Coloring Comparison

A coloring comparison.

The digital coloring took about an hour. Pros are limitless colors and easy fixes for mistakes. Cons are my lack of experience and lack of “real” digital art software. (Also, please excuse the sloppy removal of white around her, pretend it’s a magical background.)

The Prismacolor pencils are the medium with which I have the most experience. I enjoy using them most. They’re fun to blend, but they don’t erase. It’s harder to clean up for computer use later.

I think I would like using markers a lot more if I had some better ones. Those streaks are difficult to put up with. Thankfully, it can pass as texture half the time. And I have a couple prismacolor art markers for smooth skin. But the colors I have are super limited. Only one grey, which ought to explain the extra brown.

So that’s that. Which one looks best?
